Kit Underdown
Kit has an interest in working with people that are suffering from
drug and alcohol problems and worked with DrugARM, which is an
organisation that provides counselling and support services for
individuals trying to combat drug or alcohol problems. This role
involved meeting with clients and identifying issues and barriers
that they are facing. Kit assisted with providing an initial
assessment and formulating treatment plans. Kit was required to
monitor this for twelve sessions, with the aim of each client
reaching their goals. Kit has also taken an interest in people with mental
illness, and worked at the Margaret Tobin mental health unit at
Flinders Medical Centre. Kit's role involved spending several
hours per week interacting with patients in the wards. Kit joined MSVS in June 2008, and undertakes rehabilitation
and return to work activities with clients suffering from
injuries.
